Lissa is an award-winning freelance writer, specializing in health and feature articles. As a Navy commander, she is the senior public affairs officer in Oklahoma at the Navy Operational Support Center. She has also been the Navy’s Public Affairs Community Exchange (PACE) newsletter editor, the executive producer and script writer of a film shot in Australia and executive officer of two different units. Because of her expertise with newsletters, she was invited to give a brief, in Washington D.C., before 800 military personnel and civilians.
